You may have seen solar panels that are linked together in a wide expanse. This is called a solar array. You will find a solar array on rooftops and open spaces. They are best situated in locations that can take the full power of sun rays. Some arrays are so constructed to look like trees. They provide shade in the daytime and light at night. These are very practical in public places.
Solar panels can be expensive but with more and more people interested in installing them, prices have started to go down. Manufacturers are also going ahead to market them in ‘plug and play’ kits. Pretty soon a housewife can just go to her favorite home supplies store and pick out a solar array kit that can be installed in her home. That will mean less utility bills for her. It will also mean that she is helping in the clean-up of the environment.
